
Studio Topologic is the personal studio of Kirthan Shekar. He is a spatial design-researcher with a background in architecture and urbanism focused on transformation of cities and territories through engaging with critical urban questions for just transitions. His interests lies in subjects of climate resilience, post-capitalism by critical thinking, political ecology and environmental humanities through cartography, design experiments and public engagement. He is currently a design researcher at Vereniging Deltametropool which is a think tank based in Rotterdam for spatial planning and design processes for the Netherlands and the Eurodelta. Besides, he is also a part-time researcher in the Critical Environments Group in TU Delft Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment. His work include exploring the agency of design in territories with high socio-ecological and climatic vulnerability through spatial and institutional strategies and integrated research.
He graduated cum-laude from Delft University of Technology in 2024 specialising in Urbanism. and worked on a design research project in the Delta Futures Lab. Previously he was a designer-researcher at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements in Bangalore working on architectural design, research documentation and dissemination content for exploring different materials and building technologies.
